The IT Help Desk exists to serve as the primary point of contact for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette students, faculty, and staff seeking problem resolution with supported software, hardware, and operating systems, including general IT services provided by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The IT Help Desk covers a wide variety of activities including:
- To provide a visible and proactive avenue of help for students, faculty, and staff.
- To provide a helpful and friendly first point of contact for all technology requests.
- To provide basic support for computing and distance education services.
- To provide support for user account maintenance.
- To provide a channel of escalation for IT services.
- To provide online FAQ's, manuals, and tutorials to empower users to self-troubleshoot.

When you receive new mail, Zimbra checks to see if it is spam. Any emails that score high enough on the spam filter in Zimbra are placed in your Junk folder for your review. It is best practice to frequently check your Junk folder to see if there are any "good" e-mails that were erroneously sent to the Junk folder.
